Cost of Cosmetic Breast Surgery
Average Cost across the U.S.
The list of the average costs for cosmetic breast procedures across the United States is on this page. (This does not include Cost at Loftus Plastic Surgery Center). Before viewing these costs, please make note of a few important things:
Cost, as listed below, include the surgeon's fee, anesthesia fee, operating room fee, and implant fee. When you call a plastic surgeon's office to inquire about cost, be certain to ask if each of these fees is included. Often the prices quoted are only the surgeon's fee, that makes up only 60%-80% of the total cost. It isn't until you see the plastic surgeon and receive your quote that you find out that the price quoted was significantly lower than the actual cost.
Costs below are for procedures being performed in accredited hospitals, accredited surgery centers, or accredited plastic surgery offices. Do not try to cut costs by sacrificing safety and having your procedure performed in a non-accredited facility.
Costs in the United States are surprisingly uniform from coast to coast. The only exception is the New York area, where you should expect to pay about 50% more than the prices quoted below.
*Note that Breast Reduction is usually performed for functional reasons and is sometimes covered by insurance. Its listing on this page is not intended to imply that it is a purely cosmetic procedure, because in the vast majority of cases, it is not.
